Introduction
This blog is a public diary for an archaeological excavation at the historic Elihu Akin House in South Dartmouth, MA. Our dig will take place in July and early August. The field crew will consist of UMass Dartmouth students and local volunteers, all trained in excavation techniques and archaeological field recording. These individuals will contribute to reports posted here, so check back regularly when our field season begins. We look forward to sharing our work!
